A Christmas tree and wishing stars in our entrance. Every pupil has written a Christmas wish on a star and we have hung these from the ceiling.
Three wise men bringing gifts to baby Jesus.

CHRISTMAS FAIR ST. EDWARD'S CE PRIMARY SCHOOL ENGLAND
Friday 5th December
Each year we hold a Christmas Fair we invite lots of people to come, parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles, past pupils and the local community. We have a variety of different stalls for people to buy things such as gifts, toys or books. We have raffles, name the teddy, pick a lolly and tombola stalls where people can win prizes. Children can visit Father Christmas and have their photograph taken with him. There is food for sale and traditional Christmas mince pies. Take a look at the photographs of our Christmas Fair, we had lots of fun!

We're sending autumn greetings from Deszczno, a village in western Poland. Our school consists of three acutally: primary, secondary and grammar ones. There are over 400 students all together. The building is quite big and you cannot miss it going from Gorzow to Poznan, because it's located near the main road.
We aren't keen on learning very much:), but we like music, chatting, texting and watching TV.

OUR SCHOOL
St. Edward's CE Primary School has 320 pupils aged between 4 and 11. We have 14 classes in our school. Take a look at our website http://www.stedwardsce.rochdale.sch.uk/
We are an Eco School and we have had a Green Flag since 2000. We work hard to look after our environment by recycling, composting waste, saving energy, reducing the amount of water we use. We have solar panels in our school and a mini wind turbine. We have a vegetable garden were we grow our own vegetables for our school kitchen and we use a worm composting system to compost our kitchen waste. We have lots of animals in our school too. We have guinea pigs, rabbits, a chinchilla, hens and a pond with fish.
We are excited to find out about other festivals in Europe and tell you about some of the festivals we celebrate in England too!
WHERE WE LIVE
Our school is situated in a town called Rochdale. Rochdale is a large market town in Greater Manchester, situated in the Northwest of England. Follow this link to take a look at some photographs of Rochdale and to find out more information.

Hello,
We are the 22 french pupils and we are really happy to take part of the Festivals around Europe's project.
Ste Marie 's school is located in Equeurdreville, which is just next Cherbourg, in Normandy. In our school, which is situated a few kilometers from the sea (we can even see it by our windows of our classroom !), we are about 250 pupils.
Each week, we learn some english words with our main teacher (we have a second teacher but she is with us less than 2 hours per week). In one hand, we are sure this project will help us to improve our English and our knowledges about european cultures and, in the other hand, we are really pleased to give to other pupils information about our french festivals. It's really great !
Bye-bye
